Receding Hair and Menopause

Receding Hair And Menopause
What is the connection between menopause and receding hair or just in general, loss of hair in women?
Menopause will cause women to go through significant hormone changes. This condition occurs as women approach middle age and they will see their estrogen levels start to fall off.
As the estrogen levels fall, the testosterone hormones in the female's body are no longer controlled. This will allow them to be converted by 5 alpha reductase to DHT (dihydrotestosterone). DHT will then attach itself to the hair follicle preventing nutrients from getting to the hair strand and follicle. Eventually causing the hair strand to fall out and the follicle to die.
This is the same hormonal action seen in men called male pattern baldness only in women it is referred to as female pattern baldness. In men this condition can start right after puberty when they start producing testosterone.
Identifying Hair Loss From Menopause
Normally people will lose any where from 50 to 150 hair strands a day. When you have hair loss from other conditions such as that caused by menopause, the amount of hair strands lost per day is much more.
It is important to note that there are many conditions that can cause your hair to fall out. To be absolutely certain on what is causing your hair loss, visit your dermatologist.
But to help you identify if your hair loss is a result of female pattern baldness here is what you should look for:
  • Unlike male pattern baldness that causes bald spots on the scalps crown and a receding hairline, women who have female pattern baldness will see a generally thinning of hair all across their scalp. Rarely will women develop a bald patch on their scalp.
  • Because DHT is blocking hair follicles from providing nutrients to the hair strand, the hair strand will be thinner and when it falls out it will also be shorter.
Conclusion
If you are going through or are past menopause there is a good chance you have thinning or a receding hairline caused by female pattern baldness. Visit your doctor and learn about the options available to stop your hair loss from this condition.

Beautiful Long Hair Without Much Investment

Hair extensions will make me look younger, more fun and vibrant. I will look like a Hollywood star, the one who is actually good-looking. Men would want me so badly! Why not? So I did.
... And it totally worked!
I was told that I would get addicted. I thought, hey, I can work out twice a week, I have a will power! Turned out, when it came to hair extensions, I didn't. I gave in. It was easy to do. Pretty much every celebrity has been seduced. Natural-looking and reassuringly expensive, they make you appear younger (by babying-fying your face) and thinner (by out sizing your body)... I believe you have to surround yourself with beautiful things in order to become a better and more successful person. Being beautiful attracts not only men, but better jobs, better educational opportunities, better networking circles... You have to stand out in the crowd to get anywhere. Hair Extensions are surely a quick way of getting there.
Of course, there was a problem. Price.
"Men love long hair," trills my friend Jessica Mowey, 31, her golden extensions sweeping her waist. "My boyfriend loves it. My male friends are mesmerized by it. Girls are very jealous." Her colleagues don't know it's fake. An interior designer, she spends £1,200 on them every four months. "It's addictive. I'm not very curvaceous, but as soon as I had my hair long, I felt more feminine, more beautiful. This is my trademark now."
Yes, if you want to do it at a salon, you are looking at an average price of $1000 every 4 months. I did that for 3 years. You do the math.
I wish someone back then told me that there is a much less expensive alternative. It is really not that difficult to install hair extensions, especially if you have a friend who can give you a hand. Here it goes - saving you 4K a year which you are welcome to deposit into my retirement fund - DIY hair extension kits. There are quite a few of them - anything from glue, tape in, beaded (cold) extensions and all that for under $200. You can dye the hair, change your style every 4 months and all that without any harm to you own hair. I'd say give it a try!
As a hair extension virgin, be careful not to get super long hair. Be reasonable. Remember - very long hair demands a lot of attention. You will need to care for it just like you would for your own hair. So, start reasonably short and see how it goes.
One thing you can be sure about - you will look so much more feminine and sexy! Not that you are not awesome right now, but you know, there is always some space for improvement.

Armpits Hair Removal

In most cultures, women absolutely hate having hair under their armpits. Hair removal is used to ensure armpits are smooth and gorgeous when wearing cute summery tops. When it comes to removing this stubborn hair, you have several options ranging from cheap to expensive. Each one lasts a longer than the last with the most expensive actually being permanent.
Armpit Hair Meets The Razor
The most common girl hair armpit removal method is shaving. It can be done pretty much anytime. You don't have to wait until hair is a certain length as you do with waxing. The best part is it is the cheapest way to remove armpit hair. The downside is pesky irritation and short term results. Luckily, there are now razors with built in moisturizers to help reduce irritation and rashes. You can also choose electric razors which have less irritation. Moisturizing shaving creams and gels reduce irritation and ingrown hairs. Shaving typically lasts only a few days as armpit hair grows quickly.
Strip and Rip
If you want an armpit's hair removal method with longer lasting results, try waxing. This can be done professionally or at home. If doing this at home, follow all instructions carefully. Usually, armpits should have a decent length stubble for effective results otherwise the hair doesn't connect to the strip. Waxing essentially rips out hair from the root using a heated wax and strip. The process takes longer than shaving, but lasts anywhere from one to eight weeks depending on the type of wax used. The longer treatments usually cost more. Waxing is affordable, but on the downside may result in pain (during removal only) and skin irritations.
Wipe It Off
Hair removal creams are a pain free way to remove armpit hair. With razors, you may nick yourself. With waxing, you're literally ripping hair out. Hair removal creams open pores and loosen hair so you can wipe it off. Creams have varying results depending on the thickness and current length of hair. Longer hairs remove easier than shorter ones. Results can last from one to four weeks. Sensitive skin may be highly irritated by these creams. Test the cream on your inner arm first. Armpit's hair removal using creams costs about the same as short term waxing solutions.
No More Armpit Hair
If you truly want girl armpit hair gone forever, electrolysis is the answer. This method is expensive and may require several sessions depending on your skin type. Electric currents are used to completely kill the hair follicle. Sensitive skin is often irritated by this procedure. Sometimes hair does grow back after several years, resulting in another round of treatments. This mainly happens due to sudden hormone changes such as those occurring during menopause.

Hairstyle Tips: How to Create a Chignon

The chignon (pronounced SHIN-yawn or shin-YAWN) is a classic updo that can be worn for formal or informal occasions. A simple and elegant style, the chignon, comes from a French phrase meaning "nape of the neck." A chignon is best understood, not as a single style, but as a family of hairstyles, all characterized by the up-sweep and pinning of hair that has been gathered at the nape of the neck.
"French roll," "hair knot," and "bun" are all different names for types of chignons. Once you have learned the basics, you will discover how different accessories, products, and techniques can take your chignon from the office to the gym to a night on the town. Learn to create this gorgeous style in seven simple steps.
Steps for How to Create a Chignon
1. Start with clean, dry hair. Use a wide-toothed comb to detangle the hair and carefully remove any knots. Apply styling gel or mousse for added control if desired.
2. At this point, you may part your hair, and pull out some strands to frame your face if you so choose. Use a paddle brush to smooth the remaining hair back, and brush it into a low ponytail. Pull tightly for a cleaner, more formal look. Keep it loose and supple for a more casual appearance. Secure the ponytail with an elastic band.
3. Split the ponytail into two equal halves. Twist the two halves together to form a rope (this is also known as a double-strand twist).
4. Lift the rope up and loop it around the elastic band to form the chignon.
5. Secure the chignon to the scalp using hair pins, bobby pins and/or chopsticks.
6. Use rollers or a flat iron to curl or bump the strands at the front of your face if desired. Alternately, comb bangs and other long pieces of hair back toward the chignon and secure with pins. Add jewels, barrettes, or flowers for a decorative touch.
7. Finish with your favorite hairspray for added sheen and hold.
Random Tips and Advice
For added body, use a large curling iron or rollers to build loose curls into the hair before forming your ponytail. Also, make sure that the ponytail is not pulled too tightly to the scalp.
Soft, silky hair can be slippery and therefore difficult to secure with pins. Try backcombing or teasing the hair before styling to add texture and make the hair easier for the pins to grip.
Use two bobby pins to form a crisscross in places where an extra-firm hold is needed.
Run some styling gel through your ponytail to tame fly-aways.
Be creative when it comes to placement. Try forming a chignon off-center or higher up on your head.
There are hundreds of "twists" on the basic chignon. Try making one with a single-strand twist or several double-strand twists. Experiment with rolling and pinning part of your ponytail then looping the rest or a free-form variation using pins only. Good luck and most of all, have fun!

Tips When Doing Your Prom Hairstyles

Along with all of the excitement a certain amount of anxiety always creeps in when teenagers are faced with their upcoming prom. For a girl, this may include wondering whether someone will ask them to go. For a boy, they may worry if the girl will say yes when asked. Yet after that is out of the way, most girls begin to concentrate on things such as prom gowns, prom shoes, how they will do their makeup and prom hairstyles. For the hairstyles, you will be able to find many different sources containing hints about the different styles available.
One nice thing about hairstyles is that along with the more traditional up-dos are new ones that are constantly being created as well. You should experiment with many different styles, some that you have tried before and perhaps some that you have always wanted to try but have never had an occasion to go all out.
Remember that formal prom gowns and short prom dresses will likely call for very different hairstyles, so don't decide on your hairdo until you have the dress. If you can't afford to have your hair coiffed professionally, then look online and in magazines for ideas and try to get someone to help you do your hair. You can always add a ribbon to your hair that is the same color as your dress.
There are several different prom hairstyles that begin with a simple ponytail; for example you can put your hair up in a high ponytail and pull several strands down around your face and neck. Perhaps you can even slightly curl the wisps of hair that you pull free from the style. Or, separate a ponytail into two sections and then twist each of the sections into random knots that are pinned to the back of your head, again pulling small wisps out.
Try putting your hair into a ponytail that starts at the midsection of your head and use ribbon that matches your prom gown to weave a crisscross effect into your hair. If you decide to wear your hair in a ponytail, then use large curlers in your hair to create curl and bounce and perhaps finish it with a shine spray. For a no fuss party do, simply pull hair into two equal pony tails, either high or low, and then knot the two sections together. Use bobby pins to secure or to hide any stray hairs you don't want. Don't forget that weaving flowers, real or silk, into your hair is a great way to enhance the style with a great feminine touch.
Don't feel left out of great prom hairstyles just because your hair is short. One very trendy look is hair stencils and they actually look better on shorter hair. You can choose one that is already made or design your own for a look that you know will be completely unique. This is something that you can do by yourself, but it is usually a little easier with help. Once you have decided on the design you can choose a color that matches your prom gown or simply use a gold or silver glitter spray.

Natural Beauty Tips: Styling and Caring For Gray Hair

Getting your first gray hair may cause you to feel older than you are, but there are several ways in which you can deal with the issue. If you have just a few grays, then you may choose to pluck them as they appear or dye them as they continue to grow in. A third option is to let your hair grow gray naturally while embracing your new look.
A number of people decide to maintain gray hair because it looks stylish and distinctive. Still others may cover their grays for a while, but eventually opt to save time and money by forgoing home or salon hair coloring. If you choose to let your hair grow in gray, then the process will be gradual, because grays usually show on the sides of the head first, then around the crown, and finally in the back. Those who choose to leave their hair as is while it grows in gray can follow a few useful tips in order to keep tresses looking shiny, healthy, and vibrant.
Many people, both men and women, opt to keep their hairstyles easy to manage when they have gray hair. A short hairstyle not only looks neater, but it is also practical and flattering for those with gray hair, which tends to be dry and coarse. Also, the shorter the hairstyle is, the longer it will take for other people to notice grays as they start to grow in.
Some people do not wish to wear their hair entirely gray, but do like the "salt and pepper" look. If this idea appeals to you, then you can try adding highlights to your hair. This will add subtle streaks of color that accents some of your gray hair while covering the other strands.
Over time, you may notice that your gray hair has a bit of a yellow tint due to air pollutants. To prevent this, you should use a purifying shampoo at least once a month in order to get rid of product build-up. Blue-tinted or silver-tinted shampoos for gray hair are also available - these are designed to gently get rid of any yellow cast while bringing out the natural gray color of your hair. Be sure that you saturate your hair completely when using these tinted shampoos, because if you do not thoroughly cover your hair with the product, then you will end up with uneven patches of gray.

Beauty Tips for Those With Red Hair

Some people with red hair consider it a curse, but it is who you are, and you should learn to embrace it and make the most out of it. People with red hair usually have light skin, freckles and blue, green or hazel eyes. If you want to find out how to make the most of your red hair and fair skin, read the following article that shares helpful information.

The first thing you need to do is choose a good foundation that matches your skin. Chances are you will need a foundation that has gold or yellow tones. These undertones help to even out your skin tone. If you already have a foundation that you love, but need some yellow tones to even out your skin, there are many primers that can help. Makeup stores and makeup counters in department stores have employees that can help you choose a foundation that flatters your skin if you are having trouble finding one that you like.
Since most red heads have fair skin, it is important to wear sunscreen on a daily basis. Sunscreen can be found in many moisturizers. Find a moisturizer that is appropriate for your skin type and make sure it has sunscreen. You can also find foundation or powders that have sunscreen in them. If you will be outside at all, even just driving in your car, you need to have sunscreen on to protect your delicate skin.
Many people with freckles want to cover them up. Freckles are a beautiful feature, they are unique and give a youthful appearance. Instead of trying to cover up your freckles, embrace them. They make you who you are.
When you choose a blush, choose either an apricot or peach color. These colors are great for redheads with fair skin. Peach or apricot colors will really warm up your overall appearance. The best color mascara for you will be a deep brown mascara. This color will really work well with your eyes and the rest of your face. It will make your eyes softer and not as harsh as a bold black mascara will.
Eye shadow should be in a palette of autumn colors. These colors will look the best on your skin and will really do a lot to make your eyes stand out without being too much. Choose the colors that are associated with the changing colors of the fall leaves and your eyes will look amazing.
When you choose lipstick or lip gloss, use a neutral tone. It can be a similar shade to your blush. Peach colors really accentuate the lips of those with red hair. It is best not to pick a bright, bold color as this will look too harsh against your skin tone.

Hair Styles for Plus Size Women

Anyone who wears clothes size 12w to 44ww falls into the plus size category.
The properly designed style compliments the face shape. It flatters the individual's size, the skin tone, and the eye color. The perfect style will emphasize the most beautiful features while minimizing the weak facial features. It will make the strongest features pop and be noticed next after the hair.
A complimentary style can update an entire wardrobe. A new beautiful style may be worn with an old dress and the dress will look brand new. Or, vice versa, an uncomplimentary style will make any dress look bad. The point is, the hair is noticed first and either compliments the woman size or does not compliment .
There are ten steps in choosing a design to compliment the size.
1. Draw an outline of the face shape of the woman on the mirror with an erasable marker
2. Determine the face shape from the actual outline which can be easily seen now
3. Superimpose an oval over the actual face shape
4. Anything outside the oval should be deemphasized
5. Anything inside the oval should be emphasized
6. Determine the number one best feature of the face
7. Determine any feature that needs to be minimized
8. Point the hair to the best feature
9. Sweep the hair away from any features that need to be minimized
10. Color hair to flatter or minimize with highlights or lowlights
Most plus size clients have a round or rectangular shape face.
There are several ways to correct a round face shape with the design.
• Since the cheeks and sides of the face come outside of the superimposed oval, a hair style is chosen to minimize these features.
• For the Client favoring short hair, I will choose a look that is combed forward covering the sides of the face. The new Shag hair cut is one that can be flipped forward and covers this area.
• If the plus size client wishes the hair to be swept away from the face, I will apply a darker color to just the sides of the hair with foils. The dark color will slenderizes. After using the darker color, the new Shag hair style may be worn and flipped away from the face. Caution: Never lighten the hair at the sides of the face on a round face shape because the highlights will emphasize and make it look wider.
• Since the chin is usually outside the oval, it should be deemphasized. Never select a hair style for the round face that points to the chin. Choose a haircut that points either above or below the chin with the weight line at the eyes or above. An example is the Classic Layered cut with a high weight line at the temple.
• The temple and forehead area of the round face is usually inside the oval and should be deemphasized. Select a haircut that is swept back off the temple and sides of the forehead. Highlights in this area give the illusion of the perfect oval by making the temple area wider.
For the rectangular face shape, follow the same suggestion for the round face and add the following advise; Since the lower jaw area is outside the superimposed oval, it should be minimized and corrected. A Long Layered Shag worn very full is a good style to correct this and flatter the full figure. Big hair is always a good choice and will compliment the figure.
In order to correct or minimize the jaw of the rectangular face, select a style that does not point to the lower jaw area. A design in which the hanging length is above or below this area insures that this area will be deemphasized on the plus size woman. An example of this is the Short Bob and the Medium Length Bob which falls between the chin and the shoulder.
The tall full figure looks striking and gorgeous in the long full styles. The short plus figure who wants a look that slenderizes should select the short styles with height on top. A Pixie with the top spiked or curled for fullness is a good choice.

Hair and Beauty Tips For Formal Occasions

Formal occasions are the perfect time for wearing sophisticated hairstyles and makeup. You can use the following pointers for complimenting your formal dress, jewelry, shoes, and manicure with flawless makeup and a gorgeous, elegant hairstyle.
As a general rule, your hairstyle should flatter the outfit that you're wearing. You will not want to wait until the day of a formal event to figure out which hairstyle looks best with your dress. Start experimenting with hairstyles about a week before the event to see what does and doesn't work for you. You can also experiment with hair accessories such as feathers, hair jewelry, or combs.
There are several hairstyles that will look amazing for nearly any formal occasion that you may be attending. For example, you may not think of a ponytail as a hairstyle that you would wear to a dressy event, but you can easily jazz up a basic ponytail style for events such as proms, dances, and parties. First, put your hair up into a regular ponytail, using elastic to secure your hair in place. You can then dress up your ponytail by adding ribbon or hair jewelry, curling the ends of your hair, or twisting your hair into a fancy bun. Be sure to leave two 1-inch wide sections of hair loose in front so that you can curl them or twist them - this adds more elegance to your ponytail style.
As with hairstyles, you will want to experiment with makeup products, colors, and application techniques at least a few days before a formal occasion. Generally, your makeup should emphasize either your eyes or your lips, but not both. If you have chosen your eyes as your focal point, use the following tips to create an elegant, formal makeup look. Use a light-colored beige eye shadow on your eyelids, and apply the same color under your eyebrows. Then, brush a darker-colored beige shadow onto your eyelids so that the two colors blend together. Finish the look off with a thin line of brown eyeliner on the top and lower lids of your eyes. For your lipstick, choose a color that is no more than a shade or two darker than your normal lip color.
As a word of caution, if you are using glitter as part of your makeup routine, you should apply it sparingly. Keep in mind that glitter is well-suited to formal high school events but may not be appropriate for some adult gatherings.

Natural Cures for Hair Loss And Baldness

While some of us rock the bald look, most of us who suffer from hair loss would much rather have a full head of hair again. Unfortunately implants are painful and costly and prescribed hair loss treatment like Rogaine and Propecia take time and have varying results. Clever haircuts or thickening shampoos will work for some time, but eventually, the only one you are going to be fooling is yourself. Eventually, you are going to have to come to terms with that growing horseshoe, and if you do not have the money or the commitment to join come hair club, you are going to have to learn how to be comfortable with it. It's not like you can wear that cap all the time.
Hair Loss Causes
However, do no not despair. There are ways to stave off the inevitable. The most important thing in treating baldness is knowing what causes it. While genetics (if your mother's father or your own father was bald) plays a big part, hair loss is also exacerbated because of excess hormones and poor blood circulation. While you cannot help where your X chromosome came from, you can address the other two problems through natural treatments.
Healthy Body, Healthy Scalp
Lack of blood circulation to your scalp can lead to premature hair loss. The two main FDA approved treatments for hair loss are actually vasodilators which promote blood flow to the follicles that have been choked off by the buildup of DHT. By taking care of yourself through a diet rich in veggies and an active lifestyle, you can help promote better blood flow which will help you keep your hair from falling our prematurely. Iron, Zinc, B Vitamins, and Omega 3 Fatty Acids are all essential in maintaining a healthy scalp.
Some other Natural Hair Loss Remedies
-Washing your hair with baking soda and rinsing with Apple Cider Vinegar Everyday is a great way to help wash off the residual buildup of DHT and promote new hair growth.
-Saw Palmetto has been called Nature's Rogaine. Like the over the counter drug, this plant can help reduce the amount of excess DHT (the hormone most responsible for hair loss) in your scalp, leading to thicker, fuller hair.
-Inversion therapy is not only good for your spine, it can also help promote circulation to your scalp. Massaging your scalp while upside down can also help.
-Simply massaging you scalp everyday will also promote circulation and new hair growth.
-Alma Powder soaked overnight in cast iron and then used to wash the scalp can also help invigorate growth.

Tips for Buying Hair and Beauty Supplies

Nowadays, most women are hair and beauty conscious, especially teenagers. Hair and beauty supplies have now become important to them. Some even can't leave their home without using or applying these items and they feel really uncomfortable without applying beauty products. They have this need to look pretty in everyone's eyes and having these supplies and using it is the best way to beautify or embellish their selves. Knowing that they look pretty, it can boost their confidence. It's quite rare to find someone who doesn't use even the small amount of make up or skin care products. But before buying a beauty or hair supply, they always have the same question, what to buy?
Let's talk about choosing the right shampoo to use first. There are cleansing shampoos used to balance and control oil, anti-dandruff for flake control and anti-itch, baby shampoo that's tear-free and the most common is the conditioning shampoo for smoothing and furnishing your hair. This is usually called a regular shampoo. To make their hair more look gorgeous, after using shampoo, some apply conditioner. This will polish your hair or give shine to it. For some ladies who are more into fashion, they apply some temporary highlights or permanent colour in their hair. This enhances the natural beauty of the hair. Many of the ladies now want to be more bright and dazzling, so this is where cosmetics are needed. In ancient times, make-up was used only used sparingly, but today it is used as part of a daily routine. Usually this is used by many to make their faces look more vibrant and glowing. This is how important hair and beauty supplies are for a modern-day woman.
Correct and proper use of beauty products sometimes help bring out the natural beauty of the skin. Concealers and foundations are used to cover their skin colour, to hide their imperfections. Some applies make up to build self-confidence. It makes them feel more pretty because it enhances the features of the face. Women today want to look different every day and make up helps them renew their self by matching it with their clothes and shoe color. Adding some lip gloss or lipstick can give you the right attention. It gives colour, protection, and will give you plump lips. Eyeliners and mascara are also used to give glamour and charm in your eyes.
Before you purchase anything, be sure that you always use the right hair and cosmetic products. Sometimes, there are synthetic beauty cosmetics that can severely damage your skin and body if not used properly. Always buy those that best fits to you. Do your research about a product first before purchasing. For those who don't have enough beauty supplies or cosmetics that can be used personally and depends in salons, you should always look for hair and makeup supplies that are affordable yet with quality.

Wigs for Hair Loss

One of the reasons someone may require the use of a wig or hairpiece is the medical condition known as Alopecia. Alopecia is the general term used for hair loss. The hair loss may appear as a small bald patch on the head or the loss of all the hair, even throughout the entire body. This can be very distressing for the individual and as the head is what is seen most by people, it may be that they want a wig to cover up the effects of Alopecia. A wig may promote confidence and help the sufferer to deal with having the condition.
The types of wigs on offer are human hair wigs and synthetic wigs; there are disadvantages to both as outlined below:
Human Hair Wigs - Advantages
- They look very natural and are ideal for everyday use when you want the hair to look as natural as possible as to not draw attention to the wig
- They can be styled however way you like and by using heated styling appliances
- They can be used for up to one year on average, which is a good life span for a wig used everyday
Human Hair Wigs - Disadvantages
- They are more expensive than synthetic hair and can vary in prices depending on the brand
- They can be more difficult to style and getting the hang of styling the wig at first can be quite tricky
- They lose colour more quickly and darker colours can turn slightly reddish
Synthetic Hair Wigs - Advantages
- They are already styled for you so there is no need for self-styling as they are pre-styled and so keep their shape after washing which can be highly convenient for when you are in a rush
- They are less expensive than human hair wigs, quite considerably so in some brands and styles, which is a good considering they need to be changed more frequently
- They are 'colour-fast' so will not fade in the sun, unlike human hair wigs where the colour does fade
Synthetic Hair Wigs - Disadvantages
- They cannot be exposed to heat as it damages the fibres - this means they cannot be placed on or near a radiator to dry and heated styling irons cannot be used on the hair
- The colour of the hair is permanent and therefore cannot be changed or dyed - a new wig would need to be purchased if a colour changed was required.
- The hair doesn't last as long as human hair and needs to be changed more regularly depending on how much it is used. The hair can start to frizz on longer styles and cannot be restyled once this happens.

How To Have Beautiful Shining Hair

Do you wish to have beautiful shining hair like most shampoo models do? Do you want to know to make that possible? Yes, you have read it right; it is possible for you to have that kind of hair that you desire. You do not have to be a shampoo endorser to have that kind of locks for all you need is to follow the tips that are mentioned below.
First thing to do is take note of what you eat. You need to eat foods that are loaded with nutrients such as proteins and calcium. Since your body needs protein to produce healthful tresses, you will need to consume a few protein rich foods like eggs, chicken, or dairy products.
Addition to that, it would also help you drink lots of water everyday. This will not only keep the body and skin hydrated but will also help improve the texture of your locks. So if I were you, I would drink at least eight to ten glasses of water everyday for best benefits.
Make sure to give your scalp a massage every single day. Although this simply feels good, what's more, it should go a long way to promoting healthy scalp. The massage will raise the flow and will supply the nutrients it needs to stay healthy. This helps in growth and keeps it away from receding just before the body is able to develop brand-new healthy ones.
Remember not to rub your tresses excessively. The head creates natural oils that coat every strand of it, giving it a normal glow. Summer Tips for Your Hair

Summer is the time to relax and have some fun! Everyone loves to go to the pool and beach. Spending time out in the beautiful hot sunny weather is just the thing to do. Unfortunately this can lead to hair damage. Here are some tips to help prevent damage to your hair as you are enjoying your summer.
• Wear a hat or scarf if you are going to be in the sun for a long time. If you do not want to wear anything on your head then apply leave in conditioner with sunscreen. If you forget to do this you can put regular sunscreen in your hair. You have to make sure you wash it with a deep cleansing shampoo when you get home.
• Limit the use of blow dryers, straighteners, and curling irons. These are all "hot "items. Your hair is already exposed to more heat than usual. You don't want to add any more than necessary. If you do choose to use a "hot" item use some leave in conditioner before you use item.
• Shampooing can strip moisture from your hair. Try washing it less often. You can condition it every day. Hair chemicals can also take away moisture. Limit the use of bleach, color, relaxers, chemical straighteners, etc.
• Staying hydrated is important for your health and your hair! Drink plenty of water and have a balanced diet. Don't cut fat and protein too much in your diet.Believe it or not it will show in your hair!
• Before going into the pool or ocean wet your hair. This will help decrease the absorption of the chlorinated and salty water. Rinse your hair when you get out of pool or ocean too. The effects of the chlorinated water are easier to prevent than to remove.
• When hair gets dry sometimes it can get very frizzy. If you are dealing with frizzy hair you can braid it, knot it, or put it in a bun to help contain frizzies. Putting conditioner on the frizzy areas and putting your hair up while you sleep will help moisturize the dry areas of your hair.
• Hair grows faster in the warmer weather. You should get your hair trimmed every 6 to 8 weeks. Your stylist can also suggest the best shampoo and conditioner for you to use to maintain moisture through the summer months.
I hope these suggestions will help you to have beautiful healthy hair all summer long!
