Receding Hair and Menopause

Receding Hair And Menopause
What is the connection between menopause and receding hair or just in general, loss of hair in women?
Menopause will cause women to go through significant hormone changes. This condition occurs as women approach middle age and they will see their estrogen levels start to fall off.
As the estrogen levels fall, the testosterone hormones in the female's body are no longer controlled. This will allow them to be converted by 5 alpha reductase to DHT (dihydrotestosterone). DHT will then attach itself to the hair follicle preventing nutrients from getting to the hair strand and follicle. Eventually causing the hair strand to fall out and the follicle to die.
This is the same hormonal action seen in men called male pattern baldness only in women it is referred to as female pattern baldness. In men this condition can start right after puberty when they start producing testosterone.
Identifying Hair Loss From Menopause
Normally people will lose any where from 50 to 150 hair strands a day. When you have hair loss from other conditions such as that caused by menopause, the amount of hair strands lost per day is much more.
It is important to note that there are many conditions that can cause your hair to fall out. To be absolutely certain on what is causing your hair loss, visit your dermatologist.
But to help you identify if your hair loss is a result of female pattern baldness here is what you should look for:
  • Unlike male pattern baldness that causes bald spots on the scalps crown and a receding hairline, women who have female pattern baldness will see a generally thinning of hair all across their scalp. Rarely will women develop a bald patch on their scalp.
  • Because DHT is blocking hair follicles from providing nutrients to the hair strand, the hair strand will be thinner and when it falls out it will also be shorter.
Conclusion
If you are going through or are past menopause there is a good chance you have thinning or a receding hairline caused by female pattern baldness. Visit your doctor and learn about the options available to stop your hair loss from this condition.

Beautiful Long Hair Without Much Investment

Hair extensions will make me look younger, more fun and vibrant. I will look like a Hollywood star, the one who is actually good-looking. Men would want me so badly! Why not? So I did.
... And it totally worked!
I was told that I would get addicted. I thought, hey, I can work out twice a week, I have a will power! Turned out, when it came to hair extensions, I didn't. I gave in. It was easy to do. Pretty much every celebrity has been seduced. Natural-looking and reassuringly expensive, they make you appear younger (by babying-fying your face) and thinner (by out sizing your body)... I believe you have to surround yourself with beautiful things in order to become a better and more successful person. Being beautiful attracts not only men, but better jobs, better educational opportunities, better networking circles... You have to stand out in the crowd to get anywhere. Hair Extensions are surely a quick way of getting there.
Of course, there was a problem. Price.
"Men love long hair," trills my friend Jessica Mowey, 31, her golden extensions sweeping her waist. "My boyfriend loves it. My male friends are mesmerized by it. Girls are very jealous." Her colleagues don't know it's fake. An interior designer, she spends £1,200 on them every four months. "It's addictive. I'm not very curvaceous, but as soon as I had my hair long, I felt more feminine, more beautiful. This is my trademark now."
Yes, if you want to do it at a salon, you are looking at an average price of $1000 every 4 months. I did that for 3 years. You do the math.
I wish someone back then told me that there is a much less expensive alternative. It is really not that difficult to install hair extensions, especially if you have a friend who can give you a hand. Here it goes - saving you 4K a year which you are welcome to deposit into my retirement fund - DIY hair extension kits. There are quite a few of them - anything from glue, tape in, beaded (cold) extensions and all that for under $200. You can dye the hair, change your style every 4 months and all that without any harm to you own hair. I'd say give it a try!
As a hair extension virgin, be careful not to get super long hair. Be reasonable. Remember - very long hair demands a lot of attention. You will need to care for it just like you would for your own hair. So, start reasonably short and see how it goes.
One thing you can be sure about - you will look so much more feminine and sexy! Not that you are not awesome right now, but you know, there is always some space for improvement.

Armpits Hair Removal

In most cultures, women absolutely hate having hair under their armpits. Hair removal is used to ensure armpits are smooth and gorgeous when wearing cute summery tops. When it comes to removing this stubborn hair, you have several options ranging from cheap to expensive. Each one lasts a longer than the last with the most expensive actually being permanent.
Armpit Hair Meets The Razor
The most common girl hair armpit removal method is shaving. It can be done pretty much anytime. You don't have to wait until hair is a certain length as you do with waxing. The best part is it is the cheapest way to remove armpit hair. The downside is pesky irritation and short term results. Luckily, there are now razors with built in moisturizers to help reduce irritation and rashes. You can also choose electric razors which have less irritation. Moisturizing shaving creams and gels reduce irritation and ingrown hairs. Shaving typically lasts only a few days as armpit hair grows quickly.
Strip and Rip
If you want an armpit's hair removal method with longer lasting results, try waxing. This can be done professionally or at home. If doing this at home, follow all instructions carefully. Usually, armpits should have a decent length stubble for effective results otherwise the hair doesn't connect to the strip. Waxing essentially rips out hair from the root using a heated wax and strip. The process takes longer than shaving, but lasts anywhere from one to eight weeks depending on the type of wax used. The longer treatments usually cost more. Waxing is affordable, but on the downside may result in pain (during removal only) and skin irritations.
Wipe It Off
Hair removal creams are a pain free way to remove armpit hair. With razors, you may nick yourself. With waxing, you're literally ripping hair out. Hair removal creams open pores and loosen hair so you can wipe it off. Creams have varying results depending on the thickness and current length of hair. Longer hairs remove easier than shorter ones. Results can last from one to four weeks. Sensitive skin may be highly irritated by these creams. Test the cream on your inner arm first. Armpit's hair removal using creams costs about the same as short term waxing solutions.
No More Armpit Hair
If you truly want girl armpit hair gone forever, electrolysis is the answer. This method is expensive and may require several sessions depending on your skin type. Electric currents are used to completely kill the hair follicle. Sensitive skin is often irritated by this procedure. Sometimes hair does grow back after several years, resulting in another round of treatments. This mainly happens due to sudden hormone changes such as those occurring during menopause.

Hair Re-Growth Product Vs Hair Transplant

When it comes to hair restoration, we are set with various options to help remedy this concern. But there are two hair loss measures that most hair loss victims deliberate on, and that is hair re-growth products and hair transplant. So let me help you sort through the benefits and advantages that these two have.
For those who don't want to undergo those invasive procedures, a hair re-growth product would be a fitting option. They can come in the form of pills, medicated shampoos or creams. They are easier to obtain and maintain, and they have proven to be effective means.
Hair loss medications have given effective treatments, although results may take a few months. The same goes for shampoos and creams. That is why you have to religiously keep this up as a daily regimen to get desired results.
However you must be aware that there are accompanying side effects, especially with medications. And ironically enough one of those is hair loss. That is why you have to work closely with your doctor to ensure that you are getting the benefits.
But if you want to minimize side effects, there are natural hair re-growth products that you can use instead. There are products that have organic components which can be safer especially for long-term use.
Okay, so looking at the other side of the fence is the more aggressive approach to hair restoration, and that is hair transplantation. This is a surgical procedure in which it takes a strip of hair at the back of the scalp and individually remove them in order to transplant these hair grafts into the donor area, which is usually at the front of the scalp.
Hair transplant is considered by many to be the best option when it comes to restoring your hair because it provides results that are natural looking. Through the advancements in the approach in hair transplant procedures, it is already possible to give hair loss victims that permanent improvement.
Hair transplant surgeons know how to arrange and space the hair grafts strategically at a direction similar to those surrounding hairs in order to come up with excellent results. They also use high-powered microscopes in order to perform the meticulous process of hair extraction more carefully.
And today with the introduction of the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) better aesthetic results can be made possible. Compared to the traditional strip method which we have mentioned earlier, FUE doesn't have that visible linear scar at the back of the head, instead they provide tiny circular marks that can be easily concealed. With that, you can easily conceal the fact that you had some hair issues at all!
However, the downside to hair transplant is that not everyone can afford it. Of course a procedure in this nature can come a little pricey because it takes excellent expertise and time to come up with good results.
A succesful hair transplant also needs a board certified, experienced and highly skilled surgeon. That is why you should be very careful in choosing whom to trust your hair with. Remember, you don't have a luxury of hair donors, so you have to make the most out of your resources. So choose the best surgeon who can effectively restore that full head of hair at one time.

Hairstyle Tips: How to Create a Chignon

The chignon (pronounced SHIN-yawn or shin-YAWN) is a classic updo that can be worn for formal or informal occasions. A simple and elegant style, the chignon, comes from a French phrase meaning "nape of the neck." A chignon is best understood, not as a single style, but as a family of hairstyles, all characterized by the up-sweep and pinning of hair that has been gathered at the nape of the neck.
"French roll," "hair knot," and "bun" are all different names for types of chignons. Once you have learned the basics, you will discover how different accessories, products, and techniques can take your chignon from the office to the gym to a night on the town. Learn to create this gorgeous style in seven simple steps.
Steps for How to Create a Chignon
1. Start with clean, dry hair. Use a wide-toothed comb to detangle the hair and carefully remove any knots. Apply styling gel or mousse for added control if desired.
2. At this point, you may part your hair, and pull out some strands to frame your face if you so choose. Use a paddle brush to smooth the remaining hair back, and brush it into a low ponytail. Pull tightly for a cleaner, more formal look. Keep it loose and supple for a more casual appearance. Secure the ponytail with an elastic band.
3. Split the ponytail into two equal halves. Twist the two halves together to form a rope (this is also known as a double-strand twist).
4. Lift the rope up and loop it around the elastic band to form the chignon.
5. Secure the chignon to the scalp using hair pins, bobby pins and/or chopsticks.
6. Use rollers or a flat iron to curl or bump the strands at the front of your face if desired. Alternately, comb bangs and other long pieces of hair back toward the chignon and secure with pins. Add jewels, barrettes, or flowers for a decorative touch.
7. Finish with your favorite hairspray for added sheen and hold.
Random Tips and Advice
For added body, use a large curling iron or rollers to build loose curls into the hair before forming your ponytail. Also, make sure that the ponytail is not pulled too tightly to the scalp.
Soft, silky hair can be slippery and therefore difficult to secure with pins. Try backcombing or teasing the hair before styling to add texture and make the hair easier for the pins to grip.
Use two bobby pins to form a crisscross in places where an extra-firm hold is needed.
Run some styling gel through your ponytail to tame fly-aways.
Be creative when it comes to placement. Try forming a chignon off-center or higher up on your head.
There are hundreds of "twists" on the basic chignon. Try making one with a single-strand twist or several double-strand twists. Experiment with rolling and pinning part of your ponytail then looping the rest or a free-form variation using pins only. Good luck and most of all, have fun!

Tips When Doing Your Prom Hairstyles

Along with all of the excitement a certain amount of anxiety always creeps in when teenagers are faced with their upcoming prom. For a girl, this may include wondering whether someone will ask them to go. For a boy, they may worry if the girl will say yes when asked. Yet after that is out of the way, most girls begin to concentrate on things such as prom gowns, prom shoes, how they will do their makeup and prom hairstyles. For the hairstyles, you will be able to find many different sources containing hints about the different styles available.
One nice thing about hairstyles is that along with the more traditional up-dos are new ones that are constantly being created as well. You should experiment with many different styles, some that you have tried before and perhaps some that you have always wanted to try but have never had an occasion to go all out.
Remember that formal prom gowns and short prom dresses will likely call for very different hairstyles, so don't decide on your hairdo until you have the dress. If you can't afford to have your hair coiffed professionally, then look online and in magazines for ideas and try to get someone to help you do your hair. You can always add a ribbon to your hair that is the same color as your dress.
There are several different prom hairstyles that begin with a simple ponytail; for example you can put your hair up in a high ponytail and pull several strands down around your face and neck. Perhaps you can even slightly curl the wisps of hair that you pull free from the style. Or, separate a ponytail into two sections and then twist each of the sections into random knots that are pinned to the back of your head, again pulling small wisps out.
Try putting your hair into a ponytail that starts at the midsection of your head and use ribbon that matches your prom gown to weave a crisscross effect into your hair. If you decide to wear your hair in a ponytail, then use large curlers in your hair to create curl and bounce and perhaps finish it with a shine spray. For a no fuss party do, simply pull hair into two equal pony tails, either high or low, and then knot the two sections together. Use bobby pins to secure or to hide any stray hairs you don't want. Don't forget that weaving flowers, real or silk, into your hair is a great way to enhance the style with a great feminine touch.
Don't feel left out of great prom hairstyles just because your hair is short. One very trendy look is hair stencils and they actually look better on shorter hair. You can choose one that is already made or design your own for a look that you know will be completely unique. This is something that you can do by yourself, but it is usually a little easier with help. Once you have decided on the design you can choose a color that matches your prom gown or simply use a gold or silver glitter spray.

Natural Beauty Tips: Styling and Caring For Gray Hair

Getting your first gray hair may cause you to feel older than you are, but there are several ways in which you can deal with the issue. If you have just a few grays, then you may choose to pluck them as they appear or dye them as they continue to grow in. A third option is to let your hair grow gray naturally while embracing your new look.
A number of people decide to maintain gray hair because it looks stylish and distinctive. Still others may cover their grays for a while, but eventually opt to save time and money by forgoing home or salon hair coloring. If you choose to let your hair grow in gray, then the process will be gradual, because grays usually show on the sides of the head first, then around the crown, and finally in the back. Those who choose to leave their hair as is while it grows in gray can follow a few useful tips in order to keep tresses looking shiny, healthy, and vibrant.
Many people, both men and women, opt to keep their hairstyles easy to manage when they have gray hair. A short hairstyle not only looks neater, but it is also practical and flattering for those with gray hair, which tends to be dry and coarse. Also, the shorter the hairstyle is, the longer it will take for other people to notice grays as they start to grow in.
Some people do not wish to wear their hair entirely gray, but do like the "salt and pepper" look. If this idea appeals to you, then you can try adding highlights to your hair. This will add subtle streaks of color that accents some of your gray hair while covering the other strands.
Over time, you may notice that your gray hair has a bit of a yellow tint due to air pollutants. To prevent this, you should use a purifying shampoo at least once a month in order to get rid of product build-up. Blue-tinted or silver-tinted shampoos for gray hair are also available - these are designed to gently get rid of any yellow cast while bringing out the natural gray color of your hair. Be sure that you saturate your hair completely when using these tinted shampoos, because if you do not thoroughly cover your hair with the product, then you will end up with uneven patches of gray.

Beauty Tips for Those With Red Hair

Some people with red hair consider it a curse, but it is who you are, and you should learn to embrace it and make the most out of it. People with red hair usually have light skin, freckles and blue, green or hazel eyes. If you want to find out how to make the most of your red hair and fair skin, read the following article that shares helpful information.

The first thing you need to do is choose a good foundation that matches your skin. Chances are you will need a foundation that has gold or yellow tones. These undertones help to even out your skin tone. If you already have a foundation that you love, but need some yellow tones to even out your skin, there are many primers that can help. Makeup stores and makeup counters in department stores have employees that can help you choose a foundation that flatters your skin if you are having trouble finding one that you like.
Since most red heads have fair skin, it is important to wear sunscreen on a daily basis. Sunscreen can be found in many moisturizers. Find a moisturizer that is appropriate for your skin type and make sure it has sunscreen. You can also find foundation or powders that have sunscreen in them. If you will be outside at all, even just driving in your car, you need to have sunscreen on to protect your delicate skin.
Many people with freckles want to cover them up. Freckles are a beautiful feature, they are unique and give a youthful appearance. Instead of trying to cover up your freckles, embrace them. They make you who you are.
When you choose a blush, choose either an apricot or peach color. These colors are great for redheads with fair skin. Peach or apricot colors will really warm up your overall appearance. The best color mascara for you will be a deep brown mascara. This color will really work well with your eyes and the rest of your face. It will make your eyes softer and not as harsh as a bold black mascara will.
Eye shadow should be in a palette of autumn colors. These colors will look the best on your skin and will really do a lot to make your eyes stand out without being too much. Choose the colors that are associated with the changing colors of the fall leaves and your eyes will look amazing.
When you choose lipstick or lip gloss, use a neutral tone. It can be a similar shade to your blush. Peach colors really accentuate the lips of those with red hair. It is best not to pick a bright, bold color as this will look too harsh against your skin tone.

7 Types of After Effects for Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is a permanent hair removal method that is commonly performed. A laser beam of differing wavelength is used and directed at the skin, destroying the hair follicle and rendering it unable to re-grow hair. Laser hair removal is also more effective and cost efficient as compared to other methods of hair removal. The most desired after effect is definitely a hair free body. However, there are undesirable after effects too. Many experience swelling, redness, pain and blistering.
Swelling
Swelling is the most common after effects of laser hair removal. Swelling is due to the heat from the laser beam and will usually go off by itself within 24 to 48 hours. Ice can be applied to the area to bring down the swelling. If things become serious, anti-inflammatory cream may be applied.
Redness
Redness is also commonly experienced by many after hair removal. This is due to the blood vessels at the area widening to allow the body's natural healing process to take place. It may also be due to irritation of the hair follicle.
Pain
Pain is due to 2 possibilities. Either the treatment wasn't done in the proper way or due to the effects of the laser. Clinics will usually apply a pain numbing cream before treatment and apply a soothing cream after the treatment. If pain persists, an ice pack may be applied or pain medication can be taken for pain relief.
Blistering
Blistering is due to old machines that are not equipped with a cooling mechanism. The chances are increased if the body was exposed to the sun prior to the procedure or after the procedure.
Bleeding
Slight bleeding may occur due to the hair follicles being irritated during the process. This is only temporary and will go away by itself.
Skin Pigmentation
Pigmentations are rare but chances are increased if the procedure is done by inexperienced personnel. When the laser is absorbed by the tissues instead of the follicles, it can stimulate the body's production of melanin, causing the skin to darken. This after effect is often permanent.
Burns
Burns are caused by incorrect laser hair removal procedures. It is commonly due to the wrong laser wavelength being used, causing the beam to be absorbed by the skin instead of the follicle, causing burns.
Side effects are inevitable and are a small price to pay for having a smooth hairless skin. Generally, undesirable side effects last for between 24 to 48 hours and will go off on their own.

Hair Styles for Plus Size Women

Anyone who wears clothes size 12w to 44ww falls into the plus size category.
The properly designed style compliments the face shape. It flatters the individual's size, the skin tone, and the eye color. The perfect style will emphasize the most beautiful features while minimizing the weak facial features. It will make the strongest features pop and be noticed next after the hair.
A complimentary style can update an entire wardrobe. A new beautiful style may be worn with an old dress and the dress will look brand new. Or, vice versa, an uncomplimentary style will make any dress look bad. The point is, the hair is noticed first and either compliments the woman size or does not compliment .
There are ten steps in choosing a design to compliment the size.
1. Draw an outline of the face shape of the woman on the mirror with an erasable marker
2. Determine the face shape from the actual outline which can be easily seen now
3. Superimpose an oval over the actual face shape
4. Anything outside the oval should be deemphasized
5. Anything inside the oval should be emphasized
6. Determine the number one best feature of the face
7. Determine any feature that needs to be minimized
8. Point the hair to the best feature
9. Sweep the hair away from any features that need to be minimized
10. Color hair to flatter or minimize with highlights or lowlights
Most plus size clients have a round or rectangular shape face.
There are several ways to correct a round face shape with the design.
• Since the cheeks and sides of the face come outside of the superimposed oval, a hair style is chosen to minimize these features.
• For the Client favoring short hair, I will choose a look that is combed forward covering the sides of the face. The new Shag hair cut is one that can be flipped forward and covers this area.
• If the plus size client wishes the hair to be swept away from the face, I will apply a darker color to just the sides of the hair with foils. The dark color will slenderizes. After using the darker color, the new Shag hair style may be worn and flipped away from the face. Caution: Never lighten the hair at the sides of the face on a round face shape because the highlights will emphasize and make it look wider.
• Since the chin is usually outside the oval, it should be deemphasized. Never select a hair style for the round face that points to the chin. Choose a haircut that points either above or below the chin with the weight line at the eyes or above. An example is the Classic Layered cut with a high weight line at the temple.
• The temple and forehead area of the round face is usually inside the oval and should be deemphasized. Select a haircut that is swept back off the temple and sides of the forehead. Highlights in this area give the illusion of the perfect oval by making the temple area wider.
For the rectangular face shape, follow the same suggestion for the round face and add the following advise; Since the lower jaw area is outside the superimposed oval, it should be minimized and corrected. A Long Layered Shag worn very full is a good style to correct this and flatter the full figure. Big hair is always a good choice and will compliment the figure.
In order to correct or minimize the jaw of the rectangular face, select a style that does not point to the lower jaw area. A design in which the hanging length is above or below this area insures that this area will be deemphasized on the plus size woman. An example of this is the Short Bob and the Medium Length Bob which falls between the chin and the shoulder.
The tall full figure looks striking and gorgeous in the long full styles. The short plus figure who wants a look that slenderizes should select the short styles with height on top. A Pixie with the top spiked or curled for fullness is a good choice.

Hair and Beauty Tips For Formal Occasions

Formal occasions are the perfect time for wearing sophisticated hairstyles and makeup. You can use the following pointers for complimenting your formal dress, jewelry, shoes, and manicure with flawless makeup and a gorgeous, elegant hairstyle.
As a general rule, your hairstyle should flatter the outfit that you're wearing. You will not want to wait until the day of a formal event to figure out which hairstyle looks best with your dress. Start experimenting with hairstyles about a week before the event to see what does and doesn't work for you. You can also experiment with hair accessories such as feathers, hair jewelry, or combs.
There are several hairstyles that will look amazing for nearly any formal occasion that you may be attending. For example, you may not think of a ponytail as a hairstyle that you would wear to a dressy event, but you can easily jazz up a basic ponytail style for events such as proms, dances, and parties. First, put your hair up into a regular ponytail, using elastic to secure your hair in place. You can then dress up your ponytail by adding ribbon or hair jewelry, curling the ends of your hair, or twisting your hair into a fancy bun. Be sure to leave two 1-inch wide sections of hair loose in front so that you can curl them or twist them - this adds more elegance to your ponytail style.
As with hairstyles, you will want to experiment with makeup products, colors, and application techniques at least a few days before a formal occasion. Generally, your makeup should emphasize either your eyes or your lips, but not both. If you have chosen your eyes as your focal point, use the following tips to create an elegant, formal makeup look. Use a light-colored beige eye shadow on your eyelids, and apply the same color under your eyebrows. Then, brush a darker-colored beige shadow onto your eyelids so that the two colors blend together. Finish the look off with a thin line of brown eyeliner on the top and lower lids of your eyes. For your lipstick, choose a color that is no more than a shade or two darker than your normal lip color.
As a word of caution, if you are using glitter as part of your makeup routine, you should apply it sparingly. Keep in mind that glitter is well-suited to formal high school events but may not be appropriate for some adult gatherings.

Natural Cures for Hair Loss And Baldness

While some of us rock the bald look, most of us who suffer from hair loss would much rather have a full head of hair again. Unfortunately implants are painful and costly and prescribed hair loss treatment like Rogaine and Propecia take time and have varying results. Clever haircuts or thickening shampoos will work for some time, but eventually, the only one you are going to be fooling is yourself. Eventually, you are going to have to come to terms with that growing horseshoe, and if you do not have the money or the commitment to join come hair club, you are going to have to learn how to be comfortable with it. It's not like you can wear that cap all the time.
Hair Loss Causes
However, do no not despair. There are ways to stave off the inevitable. The most important thing in treating baldness is knowing what causes it. While genetics (if your mother's father or your own father was bald) plays a big part, hair loss is also exacerbated because of excess hormones and poor blood circulation. While you cannot help where your X chromosome came from, you can address the other two problems through natural treatments.
Healthy Body, Healthy Scalp
Lack of blood circulation to your scalp can lead to premature hair loss. The two main FDA approved treatments for hair loss are actually vasodilators which promote blood flow to the follicles that have been choked off by the buildup of DHT. By taking care of yourself through a diet rich in veggies and an active lifestyle, you can help promote better blood flow which will help you keep your hair from falling our prematurely. Iron, Zinc, B Vitamins, and Omega 3 Fatty Acids are all essential in maintaining a healthy scalp.
Some other Natural Hair Loss Remedies
-Washing your hair with baking soda and rinsing with Apple Cider Vinegar Everyday is a great way to help wash off the residual buildup of DHT and promote new hair growth.
-Saw Palmetto has been called Nature's Rogaine. Like the over the counter drug, this plant can help reduce the amount of excess DHT (the hormone most responsible for hair loss) in your scalp, leading to thicker, fuller hair.
-Inversion therapy is not only good for your spine, it can also help promote circulation to your scalp. Massaging your scalp while upside down can also help.
-Simply massaging you scalp everyday will also promote circulation and new hair growth.
-Alma Powder soaked overnight in cast iron and then used to wash the scalp can also help invigorate growth.

Tips for Buying Hair and Beauty Supplies

Nowadays, most women are hair and beauty conscious, especially teenagers. Hair and beauty supplies have now become important to them. Some even can't leave their home without using or applying these items and they feel really uncomfortable without applying beauty products. They have this need to look pretty in everyone's eyes and having these supplies and using it is the best way to beautify or embellish their selves. Knowing that they look pretty, it can boost their confidence. It's quite rare to find someone who doesn't use even the small amount of make up or skin care products. But before buying a beauty or hair supply, they always have the same question, what to buy?
Let's talk about choosing the right shampoo to use first. There are cleansing shampoos used to balance and control oil, anti-dandruff for flake control and anti-itch, baby shampoo that's tear-free and the most common is the conditioning shampoo for smoothing and furnishing your hair. This is usually called a regular shampoo. To make their hair more look gorgeous, after using shampoo, some apply conditioner. This will polish your hair or give shine to it. For some ladies who are more into fashion, they apply some temporary highlights or permanent colour in their hair. This enhances the natural beauty of the hair. Many of the ladies now want to be more bright and dazzling, so this is where cosmetics are needed. In ancient times, make-up was used only used sparingly, but today it is used as part of a daily routine. Usually this is used by many to make their faces look more vibrant and glowing. This is how important hair and beauty supplies are for a modern-day woman.
Correct and proper use of beauty products sometimes help bring out the natural beauty of the skin. Concealers and foundations are used to cover their skin colour, to hide their imperfections. Some applies make up to build self-confidence. It makes them feel more pretty because it enhances the features of the face. Women today want to look different every day and make up helps them renew their self by matching it with their clothes and shoe color. Adding some lip gloss or lipstick can give you the right attention. It gives colour, protection, and will give you plump lips. Eyeliners and mascara are also used to give glamour and charm in your eyes.
Before you purchase anything, be sure that you always use the right hair and cosmetic products. Sometimes, there are synthetic beauty cosmetics that can severely damage your skin and body if not used properly. Always buy those that best fits to you. Do your research about a product first before purchasing. For those who don't have enough beauty supplies or cosmetics that can be used personally and depends in salons, you should always look for hair and makeup supplies that are affordable yet with quality.

Wigs for Hair Loss

One of the reasons someone may require the use of a wig or hairpiece is the medical condition known as Alopecia. Alopecia is the general term used for hair loss. The hair loss may appear as a small bald patch on the head or the loss of all the hair, even throughout the entire body. This can be very distressing for the individual and as the head is what is seen most by people, it may be that they want a wig to cover up the effects of Alopecia. A wig may promote confidence and help the sufferer to deal with having the condition.
The types of wigs on offer are human hair wigs and synthetic wigs; there are disadvantages to both as outlined below:
Human Hair Wigs - Advantages
- They look very natural and are ideal for everyday use when you want the hair to look as natural as possible as to not draw attention to the wig
- They can be styled however way you like and by using heated styling appliances
- They can be used for up to one year on average, which is a good life span for a wig used everyday
Human Hair Wigs - Disadvantages
- They are more expensive than synthetic hair and can vary in prices depending on the brand
- They can be more difficult to style and getting the hang of styling the wig at first can be quite tricky
- They lose colour more quickly and darker colours can turn slightly reddish
Synthetic Hair Wigs - Advantages
- They are already styled for you so there is no need for self-styling as they are pre-styled and so keep their shape after washing which can be highly convenient for when you are in a rush
- They are less expensive than human hair wigs, quite considerably so in some brands and styles, which is a good considering they need to be changed more frequently
- They are 'colour-fast' so will not fade in the sun, unlike human hair wigs where the colour does fade
Synthetic Hair Wigs - Disadvantages
- They cannot be exposed to heat as it damages the fibres - this means they cannot be placed on or near a radiator to dry and heated styling irons cannot be used on the hair
- The colour of the hair is permanent and therefore cannot be changed or dyed - a new wig would need to be purchased if a colour changed was required.
- The hair doesn't last as long as human hair and needs to be changed more regularly depending on how much it is used. The hair can start to frizz on longer styles and cannot be restyled once this happens.

Hair Extensions and Preparing for an Important Event

Brides and beauty queens alike look to hair extensions to give them a more polished and glamorous look. Hair doesn't grow overnight, so women need an alternative. By adding length and even fullness to enhance their appearance, they come across more confident and sometimes, more attractive. This process does take time, so it is important to schedule in advance and work out all the details before the big day.
Selecting a Style and Color
Most women already have some ideas in mind about how they want the hair extensions to look. When it comes to color, clients can choose to stick with their natural color or add something a little more dramatic. It takes time to choose the best color and ensure that it will be able to provide the desired results.
Once the color is established, a client needs to choose whether the hair needs to be straight or curly. Both looks can be achieved with an extension. However, if selecting curly, it is important to figure out the type of curl. For example, some women want soft curls, while others are looking for tighter, spiraling curls. This could add some extra time to the application process.
Preparing an Extension
Once the decision has been made for color and style, the work begins. Sometimes, the hair extensions will need a little extra work. For a curly look, a perm may be required to match a client's natural look. This takes time, so clients may want to set up a consultation in advance and then schedule an appointment another time shortly after for the application and completion.
Talking to a professional can give a woman a clear idea of what she should expect when it comes to preparing the hair extensions. Ask how long the process should take overall and whether or not two appointments is a more practical option. There is no reason to rush, if a client has planned well in advance.
Checking Out the Results
The time it takes for application depends on the method, as well as the amount of hair being added. Most professionals can give a woman an approximate time, but always set aside some time after the appointment, in case things run late. Along the way, temptation to look in the mirror can set in, but try to avoid looking until the process is complete.
When the work is done, it is important to examine the hair extensions. Make sure that they look natural and feel secure. If something goes wrong or just doesn't feel right, come in for a follow-up appointment. This is the main reason to avoid scheduling this type of appointment at the very last minute. If something does go wrong, there should be time to make the corrections before the event. At the very least, consider scheduling at least a week or two in advance of the big day.

How To Have Beautiful Shining Hair

Do you wish to have beautiful shining hair like most shampoo models do? Do you want to know to make that possible? Yes, you have read it right; it is possible for you to have that kind of hair that you desire. You do not have to be a shampoo endorser to have that kind of locks for all you need is to follow the tips that are mentioned below.
First thing to do is take note of what you eat. You need to eat foods that are loaded with nutrients such as proteins and calcium. Since your body needs protein to produce healthful tresses, you will need to consume a few protein rich foods like eggs, chicken, or dairy products.
Addition to that, it would also help you drink lots of water everyday. This will not only keep the body and skin hydrated but will also help improve the texture of your locks. So if I were you, I would drink at least eight to ten glasses of water everyday for best benefits.
Make sure to give your scalp a massage every single day. Although this simply feels good, what's more, it should go a long way to promoting healthy scalp. The massage will raise the flow and will supply the nutrients it needs to stay healthy. This helps in growth and keeps it away from receding just before the body is able to develop brand-new healthy ones.
Remember not to rub your tresses excessively. The head creates natural oils that coat every strand of it, giving it a normal glow. So if you rub your hair excessively then you might lessen the production of natural oils leaving behind the idea prone to dryness. How often you clean or wash it usually depends on simply how much oil it makes.
Make sure to use hair care products that are all natural. Shampoo and conditioner that are full of chemicals may damage it. This could lead to breakage or split ends. So to keep your scalp healthful is by simply selecting products that doesn't contain unpleasant chemicals. Avoid also using gels or sprays for they have strong ingredients that could damage your follicles.
Dry scalp can lead to different issues such as severe dandruff. Good thing that there are now items intended to help prevent or take care of dry and itchy scalp. Find the best hydrating shampoo or conditioner and make use of these products regularly, making sure to pay extra focus on the head.
If you wish to look at your best then make sure to take care of your scalp too. Our tresses play a big part in making us beautiful therefore do not overlook that. Take care of it as well as know all the things that should be done to keep it beautiful. Use the tips that were mentioned here and you will definitely have beautiful shining hair.

Summer Tips for Your Hair

Summer is the time to relax and have some fun! Everyone loves to go to the pool and beach. Spending time out in the beautiful hot sunny weather is just the thing to do. Unfortunately this can lead to hair damage. Here are some tips to help prevent damage to your hair as you are enjoying your summer.
• Wear a hat or scarf if you are going to be in the sun for a long time. If you do not want to wear anything on your head then apply leave in conditioner with sunscreen. If you forget to do this you can put regular sunscreen in your hair. You have to make sure you wash it with a deep cleansing shampoo when you get home.
• Limit the use of blow dryers, straighteners, and curling irons. These are all "hot "items. Your hair is already exposed to more heat than usual. You don't want to add any more than necessary. If you do choose to use a "hot" item use some leave in conditioner before you use item.
• Shampooing can strip moisture from your hair. Try washing it less often. You can condition it every day. Hair chemicals can also take away moisture. Limit the use of bleach, color, relaxers, chemical straighteners, etc.
• Staying hydrated is important for your health and your hair! Drink plenty of water and have a balanced diet. Don't cut fat and protein too much in your diet.Believe it or not it will show in your hair!
• Before going into the pool or ocean wet your hair. This will help decrease the absorption of the chlorinated and salty water. Rinse your hair when you get out of pool or ocean too. The effects of the chlorinated water are easier to prevent than to remove.
• When hair gets dry sometimes it can get very frizzy. If you are dealing with frizzy hair you can braid it, knot it, or put it in a bun to help contain frizzies. Putting conditioner on the frizzy areas and putting your hair up while you sleep will help moisturize the dry areas of your hair.
• Hair grows faster in the warmer weather. You should get your hair trimmed every 6 to 8 weeks. Your stylist can also suggest the best shampoo and conditioner for you to use to maintain moisture through the summer months.
I hope these suggestions will help you to have beautiful healthy hair all summer long!

Hair Styling Gel Review

Hair gel is specifically formulated to lock hair in place without causing hair to stick together too much. It has a stronger hold than hair spray, wax, or pomade but it doesn't stiffen the hair as much as hair glue. Many gels create a wet look once they have dried but can easily be manipulated to created a softer, more separated look. Styling gels have also been improved to be less drying while still providing the same amount of hold.
In North America and the UK, several brands of hair gel offer a series which labels each type of gel with a number indicating the level of its hold. Lower numbers generally refer to a lower strength. Ethnic gels are specifically formulated for African American hair to carefully manipulate its unique texture. Many types come in different shades now to create straps of color in the hair. Hair styling gels use positively charged polymers to create hold while still allowing for flexibility. Here are a few different types of gel that are widely used among beauty industry professionals:
TIGI Power Trip Hair Gel comes in a unique aerosol can which makes applying the gel much easier. It has an intense hold that allows for a great deal of flexibility. This product is ideal for tight curls or scrunched hair that needs to stay in place.
The Bumble and Bumble BB gel is ideal for people who have unruly hair but really dislike the sticky, heavy feeling some gels can leave behind. It has a subtle fragrance and a light weight texture with extreme hold. It feels more diluted and less thick than most gels but it still easily styles hair and keeps it in place.
Eco Styler Olive Oil Styling Gel helps style hair without over drying it. It contains olive oil so it moisturizes the hair while holding it in place.
Got2b makes several different hair gels with intense hold that come in a variety of different colors. Got2b hair gels can be used to spike the hair and even add a bright hue of color to hair.
When choosing a styling gel make sure you understand what style you are trying to create and what level of hold you will need to achieve it. It is very important to make sure the one you buy isn't drying so that you don't wind up with a crunchy texture. Try applying the product while hair is still wet and letting it air dry or blow drying it with a diffuser for ideal results. You can always apply hair gel after your hair is dry but by letting the gel set on damp hair you are locking in the style. Always start with a smaller amount of hair gel and gradually add more as you need it. If you apply too much to begin with your hair may end up looking greasy.

How Can You Make Your Hair Grow Faster? Consider These Hair Growth Tips

The first question you might ask is "how can you make your hair grow faster?" Bearing the following tips in mind, you will be able to make your hair grow faster.

Tip # 3
Use a good quality hairbrush, particularly one that has rounded bristles. A good hairbrush helps in the distribution of the hair's natural oils.
Tip # 4
When brushing, tilt your hair forward and start brushing from the roots to the tips. This helps in the distribution of natural oils and can also help in scalp stimulation.
Tip # 5
Cut down on consuming products filled with alcohol, caffeine, drugs, and nicotine. They can make your hair grow dry or greasy.
Tip # 6

Tip # 9
As long as it is prescribed by a licensed dermatologist, you can try taking vitamins and other oral supplements which can help in the growth of hair. Multivitamins are also a good option.
Tip # 10
Massage natural oils into your scalp once a week to promote the growth of hair follicles. Coconut oil is proven to have a good effect on hair and help in promoting growth. You can also try jojoba, almond, and olive oil.
Tip # 11
Washing hair every day is not recommended as it can strip away the hair's natural oils. You can try washing your hair every other day to avoid this.
Tip # 12
Never, ever forget to condition your hair everyday. Choose a conditioner with mild ingredients. The best choice would be one which contains aloe vera extracts and Vitamins C and E. You can also opt to visit your salon to have a hot oil treatment every once in a while. You may also get yourself a store-bought treatment and apply it on your hair at home.

Stop Hair Loss - Quit Smoking

Non-smokers will never understand the pleasures of smoking. They will only most probably know how bad smoking for the overall health is.
History has it that smoking used to be a cure which later turned into a passion among the elite. But then at such time, little was known about the deleterious effects of smoking to both smokers and non-smokers.
Today, smoking is known to cause several health risks. Besides several forms of cancer and cardiovascular diseases, tobacco and cigarette smoking has been linked to several adverse changes in the skin and hair including poor hair regrowth, hair loss and premature greying of hair.
Curbs Blood Circulation
The usual mechanism used to stop hair loss is to increase the blood flow to the hair follicles in the scalp. A normal blood circulation is important in maintaining a good supply of food and oxygen for hair production.
Long-term smoking of tobacco and cigarettes can cause several disorders in the blood circulation. Nicotine reduces the elasticity of the blood vessels, thus constricting them. This would lead to a diminished supply of food and oxygen delivered to the follicles. Malnourished and miniaturized hair follicles produce effete hair.
Smoking and the Ageing Process
Because smoking increases the blood pressure and heart rate, it can accelerate the body's ageing process (the reason heavy smokers look older than their actual age). Age is a factor of many hair problems. Studies have it that smoke-associated hair loss is considered to be of androgenetic nature. Androgenetic alopecia is a common hair loss problem affecting nearly half of the world's adult population.
Toxicants
To stop hair loss, it is important to keep the follicles away from harmful substances. Smoking genotoxicants causes damage to the hair follicle DNA and thus alters the hair growth cycle. Lags in the hair growth cycle trigger premature hair loss.
Aside from that, the presence of these poisonous substances wears out the body and depletes the resources intended for the purpose in the long run. By then, the body will lack the mechanism to maintain a healthy head of hair.
Carbon Monoxide Content
Tobacco is especially high in carbon monoxide content which reduces the capacity of the blood to carry oxygen. A diminished supply of oxygen may cause improper use of nutrients.
In essence, to stop hair loss, one must quit smoking. Smoking is neither good when undergoing treatment. It is not easy to quit smoking even though it is easy to advise smokers to quit the habit. But raising the awareness between hair loss and smoking should hopefully incite fear among smokers and encourage them to at least slowly get off it.

Beauty of Medium Hairstyles

These days, time constraints to maintain long hair have led many females to opt for medium-length hair that gives them a perfect look. Medium hair takes lesser time to wash and can be set with a few strokes of any hair brush. It is mainly apt for working women and school-going young girls who find it difficult to manage long hair. Many others who like to experiment with different hair styles also prefer medium-cuts to get a new look.
It is also suitable for people who have thin hair. They get a bounce that makes their hair look heavier and better. People with natural long curls can equally enjoy a medium style. A jagged layer is a popular hairstyle for women because it does not require frequent trimming thereby reducing the need to visit salons frequently. Razor-cut is another option that adds a glam factor to both straight and curly hair.
People with straight hair can prefer side-parting to make hair look fluffy. Normal long layers on the sides and a bang at the center is normally liked by people who have straight and thin hair.
Medium hairstyles can be tied in a pony tail or with a clutch for the purpose of comfort. They do not require many setting procedures and maintenance products. Another advantage is that both center and side-parting looks apt in medium styles. Highlighting medium styles add some extra detail in the look. It makes the layers look more prominent and defined.
Medium hairstyles are also divided into two categories, formal medium hairstyle and casual medium hairstyle. Formal styles are neat, structured, and require styling procedures. They are normally carried for a short span of time i.e. while attending a formal occasion like wedding, awards function, farewell party, etc. The style is kept intact using hair sprays, rollers, clips, pins, and bands.
Casual styles are slightly unkempt, free-flowing, and easily manageable. They require a styling time of maximum 10 minutes and need a trimming once in a month to retain the style. The styles can also be carried in semi-formal occasions.
Nowadays, the technology has advanced to such a level that one can create their computer images in different hairstyles to know which style will suit them the best. This reduces the risk involved in experimenting a new look. Moreover, a number of hairstyling websites show variety of latest hair styles and the list of hairdressers for one's convenience and exposure.

Simple Hairstyles for Pre-Teen Girls

Hairstyles for preteens are usually a little more sophisticated than their grade school counterparts, but not quite as complicated as those of the high school set. Also, many girls in this age bracket may still need a little help achieving the ideal style, and will need something relatively simple to maintain. Of course, these attributes will help mom, too!
A staple of elementary school hair is the side part. To add some flair to this style, simply divide the side part into three sections. These sections do not have to be equal. Secure each section back in a slightly overlapping fashion with butterfly clips. This will give the part a messy, yet secure, look.
Another simple and easy look, which works well with bangs, is to pull the hair into loose pigtails at the base of the neck. These pigtails should be located toward the back instead of the side. Then, place a sparkly or fabric covered headband on top for a fun splash of color. Even if some shorter hair works its way free from the loose pigtails, the headband will keep the hair back from the face, adding to the carefree look.
If a girl is looking for something a little sleeker but still fun, the braided ponytail is a good option. For this style girls with curly hair may want to straighten their hair first, to make the hair easier to braid. This style can work with a side part or a middle part, depending on your preference. On one side, begin to braid your hair in small sections, starting at the part and continuing down the length of the hair. Do the same on the other side as well. It might be necessary to secure the first braid with a ponytail holder or clip while braiding the other side. If doing a middle part, pull the remaining hair into a low ponytail at the back of your head, toward the nape of the neck. If doing a side part, pull hair into a side ponytail on the same side of your largest part, again keeping low to the neck. Secure with a ponytail holder, preferably one that matches your hair color.
Finally, at this age many girls may decide that they are done with long hair and want to opt for a short hairstyle. This by no means limits the options for a variety of hairstyles. With short hairstyles, hair products will be key in styling. Using a strong pomade can allow girls to have a spiky, punk style. Pommade should be used on dry hair, allowing for a "sculpted effect," molding the shape of the style.
Curly hair can also work well with short hair, and a good hair gel for curly hair should be used. This should be applied on damp hair while scrunching the curls with your fingertips. Hair bands, which resemble large ponytail holders, can work to add an element of style to short, curly hair. A girl can use one of these, placed toward the forehead, to give the illusion of bangs, or can use multiple hair bands, even different colors, moving in gaps toward the back of the head to add dimension. Good luck and have fun!

Seventies Hairstyles For 2013

Over the years, different celebrities have sported hairstyles from decades ago and have been able to pull it off. Apparently, the trend continues this year, as some celebrities are already sporting seventies hairstyles in red carpet events or their everyday routines. If you want to be in the loop with the latest hairstyles, here are some of the hairstyles of the seventies you could have one in the salon.
Big Loose Curls and Strawberry Blonde Hair - who could ever forget the signature Farrah Fawcett hairstyle? Even if a number of celebrities in her time also adapted the hairstyle, they were not as popular for it as Farrah had been. If she could even be compared, Farrah Fawcett was Jennifer Aniston two decades earlier. Both had their signature classic look that never seems to have gotten old. As a matter of fact, now that the new year welcomes reinvention of a lot of things, it seems that one of them is reinventing Farrah Fawcett's hairstyle.
The Bieber - believe it or not, Justin Bieber's hairstyle is from the seventies. If you're familiar with the Beatles, you will notice an uncanny resemblance between Justin Bieber's 'do and The Beatles'. Sure, instead of letting his bangs fall straight to his face, he has swept it sideways, but the look is virtually so seventies. One should expect a lot of variations from the original hairstyle in the following months because it doesn't seem like Bieber is going away anytime soon and he is such a big influence to a lot of teenage boys nowadays, whether they admit it or not.
There are a lot more hairstyles from the seventies that seem to be coming back these days. But if you are not sure that it's all right or not, just keep in mind that whatever type of hairstyle you decide to wear this year, it's going to be okay as long as you're comfortable with it. But if you want more ideas for seventies hairstyles that are hot these days, all it takes is a few minutes online and you could get a lot of inspiration already.

Myth or Fact: Certain Hairstyles Can Cause Hair Loss

There are a number of reasons why hair loss occurs. Generally, the most common causes are heredity, physical stress, emotional stress, medical conditions, poor diet, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, and certain medications.
But there are also unusual causes of hair loss and one of these is traction alopecia. This is a condition caused by damage to the follicles due to constant pulling over a long period. There are practices that can inadvertently cause tension to the hair strands. People who are fond of wearing tight braids can experience pulling of the hair and subsequent breakage.
Ponytails and pigtails are the most common hairstyles in wnmen and children. However, care should be taken that the style does not cause significant pull to the roots. Constantly wearing the same type of style on the same area of the head can lead to a bald spot on that specific area.
Cornrows, the traditional African hairstyle wherein the hair is braided very close to the scalp is popular because of its easy maintenance. It is usually left on for several weeks at a time. But if the scalp is not properly managed during this time, it can lead to conditions such as dandruff, itchy scalp, and massive hair fall.
Weaves are becoming increasingly popular in women. This involves adding additional hair to the natural hair with human or synthetic hair to make it appear longer. The synthetic hair can also be attached using hair glue. Hair extensions involve weaving hair strand by strand that can be attached by directly bonding it to the hair or using copper links. Women who continually wear hair weaves are increasingly prone to hair loss.
Dreadlocks, especially popular among males, is essentially encouraging hair to tangle together as it grows. Over time, hair becomes twisted and matted, resulting to a hairstyle known as dreadlocks or dreads. This type of style can cause stress on the scalp and also tug the hair at its roots. The hair follicles become damaged and since dreads are thought to work best on dirty hair, a lot of people develop dandruff and also infections on the scalp that can lead to hair loss.
Inevitably, with the constant stress and pull of these particular hairstyles, the roots become damaged, leading to baldness due to traction alopecia. The tighter the hairstyle is, the more damage it can cause. Also, failure to practice good hair and scalp habits can lead to oil and dirt buildup, another cause of hair loss.

Fun, Flowing Hairstyles for an Autumn Wedding

When choosing the right wedding hairstyle, you have a lot of factors to take into consideration - including the season. An autumn wedding brings to mind cool, comfortable days and a relaxed atmosphere. As a result, many of the top autumn wedding hairstyles are light, flowing and comfortable.
Each bride will need to carefully consider what she wants to say with her hairdo. Do you want it to be bold and striking, or are you looking for a subdued and subtle look? Some brides may choose a style that will compliment the dress while others may decide on a hairstyle that's in stark contrast to the dress. There are no rights or wrongs, just be sure you have a general idea of the feeling you want your hairstyle to convey.
Long hair can be curled into simple waves that flow freely down the bride's back. This simple, youthful and fun look can be achieved by parting the hair straight down the middle, or to the left or to the right, and curling sections of hair with a 1 inch curling iron. Then pin the hair in place, spray with your favorite long-lasting hairspray, and wait for it to dry.
Once it's dry, let your hair down and gently pull and massage the hair until it forms the gentle waves you're looking for. This sweet hairdo is as cute as it is comfortable, and it makes for a muss-free wedding reception as the bride won't need to spend time coddling an intricate updo.
We all know the bun as one of the most classic hairstyles for weddings, but a modern and playful twist can make it a perfect choice for an autumn wedding. Simply style the hair as you would for a bun, but leave the very end of the ponytail tucked out. This will create a relaxed yet elegant look.
As you plan your wedding hair, remember that the style isn't the only thing to think about. Some carefully placed accessories can make or break your wedding hair. For example, you may choose to have delicate jeweled butterflies adorn your hair, which will fit in wonderfully with a woodsy autumn theme.
Of course if you're going to be wearing a veil or tiara, then you must take this into consideration when planning your hairstyle. A tiara looks stunning over a tight and classic updo, while a free and flowing mane can fit in quite well with a veil. How To Stop Premature Graying Of Hair

Though it is often suggested that gray hair is a sign of wisdom, you may be feeling sad and upset if you have noticed that your locks are starting to lose their original color. Many people want to learn how to stop premature graying of hair, the good news is that it is not impossible. What is required is to understand what the cause is, and take action that should help to delay or bring an end to the process.
At the initial stage it is useful to take a moment to discover the process that leads to graying. When an individual reaches a specific age, the body's production of melanin by cells known as Melanocytes goes into a decline. Melanocytes are found within the follicles present in the scalp and are responsible for pigmentation.
Though it is not possible to stop one's genetic clock, there are various factors that can lead to the early onset of grayness in both men and women. If you are still in your twenties or thirties and are concerned about a loss of pigmentation there is action you can take that should help ensure you still retain some degree of color.
An issue that you should not overlook is stress. If you suffer from a lot of anxiety, be it as a result of problems in your work or personal life, this will have an impact on your physical appearance. Those individuals who experience considerable amounts of stress for a prolonged amount of time are more likely to go gray early on in life. Anxiety can also lead to the thinning and loss of hair.
Other factors that can also lead to the rapid onset of this condition include deficiency in vitamin B12, thyroid disorders, excessive consumption of coffee, alcohol, and tea, smoking, and a high intake of oily or fatty foods. Lifestyle choices have an important role to play in the aging process.
When it comes to trying to prevent or minimize the onset of grayness, there are a number of suggestions that are worth exploring. Diet will have a direct impact, you should try and eat a greater amount of protein rich foods such as whole grains, meat, and soy. Also, food rich in iron can help combat B12 deficiency, this includes leafy green vegetables, yogurt, and tomatoes.
There are various lotions and shampoos which are believed to help slow down the aging of the hair. For example, Amla, coconut oil, and tea tree oil when massaged into the scalp can help promote vitality and the strength of the follicles. What's more, regularly massaging the scalp can improve circulation which also encourages hair to be more healthy.
It is best to avoid shampoos and conditions that contain a lot of chemical ingredients as these may end up causing a lot of harm. Instead, only use those cosmetic products that are made from natural ingredients. Consider that any product you use on your hair will get absorbed into the scalp and can potentially lead to damage.

Hair Styles For Bald Men

Our culture lets men get away with many things. In order to be presentable, all men need to do is shower and smell nice. Men take advantage of this but for some inexplicable reason, when their hair starts to go, vanity takes over.
Bald men take the most incredible paths in order to hide their lack of hair. It doesn't matter if the paths are filled with failure. It doesn't matter if everyone can see through them. For most men, just having a way to hide the baldness, no matter if it doesn't hide anything at all, is a great achievement.
However, looking at these hopeless failures are irritating. Because there are other ways to achieve a great hair style for balding men without looking like a doofus. Here are some ways to do this.
Buzz cut. If a man's hair is thinning, instead of fighting it and looking like a hypocrite, you can do something else. You can try to get to the jump first. Use a buzz cut. Instead of covering your baldness up make it so it doesn't matter. For balding men, this should be their first reaction. A buzz cut hides thinning hair and receding hair lines. Use an electric razor to keep your hair in this cut.
Faux-hawk. Sometimes the celebrities and movie stars have great ideas. This is one of them. The faux-hawk looks sexy. It's popular and it makes you look young again. It's also a great way to hide receding hair lines at the temples. It can also help with thinning hair at the middle but don't overdo it. A comb over is bad enough. A comb over in the style of a faux-hawk is atrocious.
Bald. Embrace your fate. It's not a bad one. Not all men can successfully look good without hair but for those who do, look awesome. Their heads are filled with win. Becoming bald might be scary for some, but becoming ridiculous should be scarier. If your hair is thin and your bald patches can't be hidden any longer, then please just let your hair vanity go. It's not helping raise your coolness factor. A shaved scalp can look suitably badass. Most shaved celebrities have that tough image.
Fringe. Your top is gone. There is no hair on it at all and you weep at the loss. You can't go bald because there is still hair at the edges. Stop whining and make it work for you. Patrick Stewart has the same hair and nobody ever called him a pushover. It's not bad to look like a monk. Remember, monks were badass too and knew kung-fu. Oh wait, those are Shaolin monks and they were bald. European monks simply held the remaining knowledge of civilization in their hands. And they used it to banish the devil along with ignorance.
Don't be afraid of baldness. It might deny you your preferred hair style but it shouldn't deny you from looking good.
